Dr Ali Sheaar

Dr Ali Sheaar is a vocationally qualified and experienced General Practitioner, having completed his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Tehran Azad University of Medical Science, Tehran, Iran, in 1995. He was awarded a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2014.

After completing his initial training, he worked across various facilities in Iran where he honed his expertise in various healthcare settings. Driven by a desire to broaden his horizons, he ventured to Australia in 2010. Embracing the challenges and rewards of rural general practice, Dr Sheaar joined a rural clinic and started practising at Cohuna District Hospital in Victoria as well as Cohuna Clinic in Cohuna Victoria, where he continued with his dedication to his patients for over 13 years before moving to Melbourne.

Dr Sheaar’s commitment extends beyond the clinic walls. He also serves as a visiting GP at a district hospital and for aged care residents, providing comprehensive care for people of all ages.

A strong believer in holistic healthcare, Dr Sheaar finds deep satisfaction in addressing the diverse needs of his patients.

He has a particular interest in skin care and paediatrics, demonstrating a special affinity for children’s well-being. Dr Sheaar’s unwavering dedication to his patients and the community is truly inspiring. His holistic approach, expertise, and compassion make him a valuable asset to our Clinic.

Dr Sheaar also speaks Farsi and Persian.
