Dr Atia Hussain


Dr Atia Hussain is a vocationally qualified and experienced female General Practitioner, having completed her Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Nalanda Medical College, India, in 1999. She was awarded a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2014. In 2009 she completed a Masters in Public Health (MPH) from Queensland University of Technology. In 2002 she completed her MRCOG Part 1 (UK).

She has over 20 years of experience in rural and urban Australia coupled with overseas experience. Dr Atia Hussain cared for her patients and their families in the rural towns of Nanango and Woodford before moving to Bayside.

She has been working in Australia for the last ten years with a special interest in Women’s health, Children’s health, Mental health and Chronic Disease management.

Gardening and travelling are her leisure activities.

Dr Atia speaks Urdu, Hindi and Arabic in addition to English.
