Dr Hossein Kalantar graduated in 2003 with a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Medical Science in Ahvaz, Iran. From 2003 to 2012, he practised as a General Practitioner and a Senior Medical Officer at major hospitals in Iran. During that period, Dr Kalantar published two International Papers in the field of kidney and skin diseases.
Dr Kalantar migrated to Australia in 2013 and practised as a General Practitioner in Nerang Gold Coast.
He was granted his Fellowship in General Practice with the Royal College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2017. He has special interests in Chronic Disease Management, Mental Health and Men’s Sexual Health.
Outside of work, Dr Kalantar enjoys classical music, dance and mountain climbing.
Dr Hossein speaks Persian in addition to English.
