Dr Mohsen Hassani graduated with Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Ahwaz University of Medical Science in Iran in 2003. He completed his Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioner (FRACGP) and Fellow of Skin Cancer Institute. He is also a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia, member of the International Dermatoscopy Society and Member of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
Dr Mohsen has been practicing in the Gold Coast and Brisbane areas for over 15 years carrying out skin checks and skin procedures. His passion to learn about skin cancer medicine began in 2008 when he started practicing and realised it is a huge health issue in Australia. Dr Hassani was awarded a Master of Medicine in Skin Cancer from The university of Queensland in 2017. He established a skin clinic in the community that he was working as a GP. Since then he has been working full time in the field .
Dr Hassani has a passion for education, he currently also works as the course coordinator for The University of Queensland’s Master of Medicine (Skin Cancer) course.
He travels frequently to share his vast experience and expertise through educational workshops in skin cancer medicine and surgery.
Dr Hassani believes in prevention, early detection and individualised treatment of skin cancer in the primary care setting and carries our full body skin checks and all sorts of skin cancer related procedures.
Dr Hassani speaks Persian (Farsi) in addition to English.
Dr Mohsen Hassani is our Skin Cancer Diagnosis, Treatment and Procedures Doctor. He privately bills. An out of pocket fee applies to eligible patients with a valid Medicare card.
