Dr Thevam Ganesan completed her Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery degree (BMBS) from the University of Nottingham in the UK in 2016. After she completed her initial training in NHU Hospitals and General Medical Centres in the UK she was awarded specialist recognition from the Royal College of General Practitioners UK (MRCGP). She continued to practice as a General Practitioner in the UK before moving to Australia in 2022, where she has been practising as General Practitioner. Dr Thevam was awarded a Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) Fellowship in 2023.
She is very passionate about managing her patients holistically and making a positive impact in people’s lives. She has special interests in women’s health (family planning, contraception, implant insertion and removal, sexual health screening, antenatal care), skin cancer checks, paediatrics, travel medicine, biopsies, and treatment.
Currently, Dr Thevam is pursuing to complete her Diploma in Skin Cancer medicine.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring new cafes, hiking, and travelling.
She speaks Malay, English, and Tamil fluently.
