We’re excited to introduce the newest member of our team at Ivanhoe Medical Clinic, Dr Thevam Ganesan. Dr Thevam brings a wealth of international experience, a passion for holistic care, and a commitment to improving the health and well-being of our community.
Dr Thevam completed her Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) at the University of Nottingham in the UK in 2016. She trained in prestigious NHS hospitals and General Medical Centres across the UK, earning her MRCGP (Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners UK).
After practising as a GP in the UK, Dr Thevam relocated to Australia in 2022. Her dedication and expertise were recognised when she achieved her FRACGP (Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners) in 2023.
Dr Thevam provides a wide range of medical services with a focus on compassionate and holistic care. Her special interests include:
- Women’s Health: Family planning, contraception, implant insertion and removal, sexual health screening, and antenatal care
- Skin Cancer Checks and biopsies (currently completing a Diploma in Skin Cancer Medicine)
- Paediatrics
- Travel Medicine
Dr Thevam speaks English, Malay, and Tamil fluently, ensuring personalised care for patients from various cultural backgrounds.
Outside the clinic, Dr Thevam enjoys spending time with her family, exploring local cafes, hiking, and travelling. Her approachable and empathetic nature makes her a trusted healthcare partner for you and your loved ones.
