Please be aware that our receptionists cannot provide advice on Bulk Billing for consultations. The decision to Bulk Bill is made solely by the doctor, as receptionists are not equipped to advise on this matter. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to discuss any billing concerns directly with your doctor.

Doctors @ Regents Park is a mixed billing practice.

NEW PATIENTS & Patients who have not attended in 24 months:

• Are required to pay an initial consultation fee of $80, which after the rebate for valid Medicare cardholders will be $40.25 out of pocket. Except Dr Shiyamala and Dr Ataullah. 
• After 1^st  initial appointment, if you are under 16 years of age or if you are a Pension Concession Card Holder or a DVA Card Holder, you will then be Bulked Billed.

Private fees may apply to all other patients and public holidays for all patients.

• Standard Appointments  – $90.00 (Medicare Rebate: $39.75) No injections or nursing services available.
• Long Appointments  – $120.00 (Medicare Rebate: $75.75)
• Bulk Billing of STANDARD consults will continue for children up to the age of 16 with valid Medicare cards, as well as Pensioners, DVA and Government-issued Health Care Card holders.

You will NOT be charged until after your appointment with the doctor.

For some appointment types, you will be directed to enter a payment method when booking appointments online to ease the payment process for both you and the reception staff.

Please check with reception for:

• Medical Reports and consultations concerning established Workers’ Compensation and Third-Party claims will be charged in accordance with the AMA Fee List.
• Some services not claimable under Medicare may attract a fee; if you are unsure if the nature of your consult will be bulk-billed, please discuss with reception at the time of your booking.
• Workers comp and insurance forms will attract an upfront fee.

IF YOU MUST CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT, WE  REQUIRE 4HRS NOTICE OR A $40 CHARGE APPLIES.

We ask that patients make a booking ONLINE, though every effort will be made to fit emergency patients in if required.

Our standard appointment types have specific time allowances, so please book a longer consultation if required to be fair to other patients. This approach helps us maintain our commitment to providing each patient with the attention they deserve. Additionally, we appreciate your punctuality for appointments. Please note late arrivals may not be seen during busy periods.

We do standard 10-minute appointments. Some services like procedures may take longer and your GP will advise you if the appointment requires more time.

Test results are only given to the patient concerned, these results may be given by a doctor. However, you will generally be asked to make an appointment with your doctor to follow up.

Medical Certificates can be provided by your doctor following a consultation, unfortunately they cannot be backdated. Please try to present early in your illness should you require this service.

You need to make an appointment with a doctor either in-person or via telehealth for all scripts.

ALL Telehealth consultations incur a fee. Medicare cardholders who have visited our practice in the last 12 months are eligible for a rebate. Payments are required in advance, through a secure link from HotDoc when booking your appointment online. We’ll handle your Medicare rebate online.

Telehealth appointments can be booked through HotDoc for results and medical certificates as long as patients meet the criteria.

If you have visited our practice in the past twelve months, you can book a telehealth consultation. Please do so ONLINE.

The practitioners adhere to the AMA code of Ethics regarding Privacy and Confidentiality, please be assured that your medical records and consultations are kept in the strictest confidence.

Please ask the reception team for a ‘transfer of medical records’ request. This can then be provided to your previous practice / doctor.

All pathology tests require a referral from your GP. We encourage you to have this ready when appearing at the pathology collection centre for your pathology test. Some pathology tests, such as pregnancy glucose tolerance testing, require you to book with pathology.

Work cover patients will be treated the same yes. If they have a claim number they will be billed to Workcover. New Workcover cases incur a $154 consult fee for the first Workcover visit and then charge $84.00 every visit after that until they have an “S” number. Workcover is not done over the phone.

Specialists typically require a referral letter from a GP. Please make an appointment with a GP first to ask about a referral letter; your GP will advise you accordingly. Please note, specialist referrals cannot be backdated, and you will need to discuss with your specialist any charges with them directly.

Our communications Policy details how and when we receive and return telephone calls and electronic communication.

We will not disturb a doctor during a consultation. We will let the doctor know if a patient has contacted the practice for them and will respond appropriately.

Please note emails are there for administrative purposes. We will not disclose personal information over email and will not use this method to book or cancel appointments.

We may get in touch with you via SMS or email to update you with general information about our practice or health services for your information. Any generic email communication to you is done using only a name and email, for the purposes of these communications, please be advised that no further information is stored.

We are constantly striving to improve the quality of our service.
