Dr Oakar Tun is a vocationally qualified and experienced male General Practitioner, having completed his Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Medicine, Mandalay, Myanmar, in 2010. He was awarded a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2024.
After completing his initial training in Mandalay Hospital he worked at Kantkaw Hospital in Myanmar following his graduation. Dr Oakar then moved to Australia in 2014 and started his training at Peninsula Health followed by other Regional Victoria Hospitals. He commenced his General Practice at Myrtleford and also worked in Shepparton VIC. As part of his professional development, Dr Oakar completed an Emergency Medicine Certificate from Australasian College of Emergency Medicine in 2020.
He has a special interest in chronic disease management and men’s health. He carries out minor skin procedures and Iron Infusions.
Dr Oakar speaks Burmese in addition to English.
