MBChB, MRCGP, FAEG(RACGP)

Return to Practice Page

Dr Wallace completed his medical degree in Edinburgh, Scotland and then GP training in the North-East of England. After a period of travel, he worked in the Emergency Department in Newcastle NSW for several months in 2000. Dr Wallace then returned to the UK and has worked as a GP in and around County Durham and Newcastle-upon-Tyne since then, gaining the MRCGP with Merit in 2004. Dr Wallace has however continued to visit Australia: with his parents now living in the North Shore

As a GP, Dr Wallace has always been drawn to the variety of medicine.  He came close to a career in emergency medicine – but the continuity of care, and ability to build ongoing working relationships with patients in family practice was the deciding factor. Dr Wallace is trained to provide lifelong care to all patient groups and has developed skills in chronic disease management. Other areas of interest include cardiovascular disease and risk management, as well as respiratory medicine and men’s health

Dr Wallace consults Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
