• Effective 1st November 2025, our practice is fully bulk bill for all Medicare-eligible patients.
• All DVA patients are bulk billed for their eligible DVA-covered conditions, excluding private procedures.
• Gap payments may exist for some services/procedures please ask the reception staff about applicable fees.
• Patients without a current Medicare card are requested to pay at the time of consultation. Information on the current private fees charged is available at reception.
• Please be advised that from 1 May 2026, Kuraby will begin charging all private patients without a Medicare card, an out-of-pocket (OOP) fee of up to $21.85. This does not apply to DVA patients presenting a valid DVA card for eligible DVA-covered conditions.
• Medical Reports and consultations concerning established Workers Compensation and Third Party claims will be charged in accordance with the AMA Fee List.
• Please check with your GP regarding any out-of-pocket expenses incurred for specialist referrals, X-rays, etc.

We understand situations may arise where you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment. If this occurs, we respectfully ask you to provide a minimum of 4 hours’ notice before your appointment by canceling your appointment via our online booking system or phoning our practice. We will happily reschedule your appointment.

If you cancel within the 4 hours or do not attend your scheduled appointment, a non-attendance fee of $40.00 will apply. If you have a cancellation fee, it will require payment before you can schedule another appointment.

Our doctors want to be available for your needs and the needs of all our patients. When a patient does not attend a scheduled appointment, another patient loses the opportunity to be seen.

We suggest that you call us or book it electronically through HotDoc/Health Engine for a date and time that works for you. If you do choose to walk in, please be warned that there might be a significant waiting time, a (walk-in fee applies) and preference will be given to those who have a confirmed booking.

Our standard appointment types have specific time allowances, so please book a longer consultation if required to be fair to other patients. This approach helps us maintain our commitment to providing each patient with the attention they deserve. Additionally, we appreciate your punctuality for appointments. Please note late arrivals may not be seen during busy periods.

We do standard 10-minute appointments. Some services like health assessments, skin checks, iron infusion, child vaccination, skin procedures, ingrown toe nail or if you have a number of complex concerns to discuss with your GP, may need longer appointments. All initial consultations will be conducted face to face, the Doctor can advise if your next appointment needs to be in the practice and if it requires a longer booking.

If you’re awaiting your test results, give us a call and our support staff will advise you on when the results will be available. Unfortunately, we cannot provide results over the phone for security purposes. We request that you book an appointment to discuss the results with the doctor.

If you’re ill and need a medical certificate for work, you will need to book an appointment and see a doctor for the same. Please note that medical certificates cannot be backdated. So, make sure you see the doctor on the date when you need it and not later.

In order to qualify for Telehealth, you must be an existing, Medicare-eligible patient who has attended an in-person appointment within the last 12 months.

Our practice can provide a copy of your tax invoice upon request.

We take the utmost care to keep patient information private and confidential. Your health is your business and no one else’s. So, when you come to us, you can rest assured that your medical records and personal information will be secure. All our practitioners adhere to AMA Code of Ethics regarding Privacy and Confidentiality. Please be assured that your medical records and consultations are kept in the strictest confidence.

Please ask the reception team for a “transfer of medical records request form.” This can be provided to your previous practice/doctors.

All pathology tests require a referral from your GP. We encourage you to have this ready when appearing at the pathology collection centre for your pathology test. Some pathology tests, such as pregnancy glucose tolerance testing, require you to book with pathology.

Yes, we do at our Medical Centre, our doctors are highly skilled and experienced with treating patients from babies to the elderly. So, no matter what your age, you can come to us and we’ll be happy to help you with your health.

Work cover patients will be treated the same as regular patients. Please notify your employer before your first consultation so they may provide you with a claim number related to your current case.

Specialist typically require a referral letter, you can book an appointment with one of our GPs, who’ll discuss your situation and then provide you with the referral. Please note, specialist referrals cannot be backdated, and you will need to discuss with your specialist any charges with them directly.

The registration process for new patients is quick and easy. When you come in for your appointment, you will be given a registration form to fill out and hand over at the front desk. It only takes a few minutes to complete and moreover, you can complete it online as well.

Our Communications Policy details how and when we receive and return telephone calls and electronic communication.

We will not disturb a doctor during a consultation. We will let the doctor know if a patient has contacted the practice for them and will respond appropriately.

Please note emails are there for administrative purposes. We will not disclose personal information over email and will not use this method to book or cancel appointments.

We may get in touch with you via SMS or email to update you with general information about our practice or health services for your information. Any generic email communication to you is done using only a name and email, for the purposes of these communications, please be advised that no further information is stored.
