Dr Fatima Nisar completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at NTR University of Health Sciences, India, in 2003. She moved to Australia in 2006 and has worked across several Melbourne hospitals, gaining experience in cardiology, oncology, emergency medicine, orthopaedics, paediatrics and the acute care of older patients.
Dr Fatima was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2012 and has worked in general practice since 2014. She also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Cosmetology in 2019.
Her clinical interests include women’s and children’s health, antenatal care and chronic disease management. Dr Fatima also performs selected minor procedures, including the treatment of ingrown toenails, toenail wedge resections, abscess drainage, wart removal, and the removal of selected moles, skin tags and sebaceous cysts. She also provides assessment and selected minor skin cancer procedures when clinically appropriate.
Dr Fatima speaks English, Urdu and Hindi.
