Dr Nurun Naher is an experienced General Practitioner with more than 30 years of medical experience. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 1989 and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
Dr Naher has also completed a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and an Advanced Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRANZCOG Advanced).
Before joining Kuraby Station Surgery, Dr Naher worked in general practices in Rockhampton, Blackwater and Boonah. She also worked at Rockhampton Base Hospital, where she gained experience in obstetrics and gynaecology and supported the healthcare needs of women, mothers and babies.
Dr Naher has practised medicine in several regions around the world, including Asia, South America and the West Indies. Her clinical interests cover all aspects of general practice, with a particular interest in women’s health, including antenatal care, gynaecological concerns, and sexual and reproductive health.
Dr Naher speaks English, Bengali, Hindi and Urdu.
