Dr Swapna Joseph is a vocationally qualified and experienced female General Practitioner from India having completed her MBBS in 1997 from Calicut University Kerala India. She obtained her Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2003, and practiced in various medical facilities in Kerala India before moving to Australia in 2009. Dr Swapna started her medical career at West Bundaberg Medical Centre in 2009 and continued with her professional studies. She was awarded a Fellow of the Royal Australia College of General Practitioners in 2012. In 2014, she moved to Warwick and in 2015 she moved to Toowoomba before joining Qualitas Medical Practice Underwood (formerly Doctors @ Underwood) in 2020.
Dr Swapna has special interests in women’s health, antenatal, chronic disease management, obstetrics and gynaecology, indigenous health, and mental health amongst other areas of General Practice. She also performs Mirena and IUD insertion.
Dr Swapna speaks Malayalam in addition to English.
