We are thrilled to announce the arrival of Dr Mohamed Aslam Farook, an experienced General Practitioner, to the team at Doctors @ Regents Park. With over a decade of medical expertise, Dr Farook graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Rajarata University of Sri Lanka in 2012. He has gained extensive experience in Emergency Medicine, ICU, and Anaesthesia, with his career spanning both Sri Lanka and Australia.
After relocating to Australia in 2017, Dr Farook spent two years working in Emergency care in regional Queensland before transitioning into general practice. In 2024, he achieved the distinguished Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), underscoring his dedication to providing high-quality healthcare.
Dr Farook is passionate about delivering comprehensive patient care with a focus on skin cancer detection, surgery, and management. Having completed a Professional Diploma of Skin Cancer Surgery through HealthCert, Dr Farook is highly qualified to conduct thorough skin cancer checks and perform skin cancer surgeries, providing expert care to patients concerned about skin health.
In addition to his expertise in skin cancer, Dr Farook also offers iron infusions, providing patients with a convenient and comfortable treatment option. His other areas of interest include men’s health, children’s health, chronic disease management, and the treatment of conditions such as alopecia, acne, erectile dysfunction, and obesity. Dr Farook is also proficient in performing a range of minor procedures.
When he’s not caring for patients, Dr Farook enjoys playing cricket, travelling, and spending quality time with his young family. He speaks Tamil, Sinhalese, and English, ensuring that he can communicate effectively with a diverse range of patients in our community.
