Dr Catherine enjoys all aspects of GP work. She has been a doctor since 1984 and a General Practitioner since 1988. In addition to her clinical work, she has done overseas medical aid work and currently sits on tribunals for the NCAT Guardianship Division. Catherine worked in Aboriginal health for six years and has a Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health from Family Planning NSW.
Dr Pratten’s special interests are in reproductive and sexual health, IUD assessment, removal and insertion, Implanon removal and insertion and Menopause consultations.
Dr Pratten is certified to insert and remove copper and hormonal (Mirena/Kyleena) IUDs (intrauterine devices) and Implanon NXT (hormonal implants), and can consult on menopause and contraceptive methods.
