Dr Angela Dalton is an experienced and diversely educated General Practitioner with over 21 years of study and work in the healthcare sector. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Notre Dame, a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Queensland, and a Diploma of Child Health from Sydney Children’s Hospital. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

Angela completed her internship at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth before transferring to St George Hospital in NSW, where she worked as a Senior Resident Medical Officer in both the paediatric and adult emergency departments. She later moved into general practice when she started her own family.

Angela continues to undertake regular professional development in:

Paediatrics and Children’s Health through Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.

She has completed the National Certificate in Family Planning, Sexual and Reproductive Health with Family Planning NSW and is passionate about women’s health and contraceptive care.

Angela offers menopause and perimenopause health assessment and management, having completed training through the Jean Hailes Foundation. She continues to develop her skills in this area through annual attendance at the HealthEd Women’s and Children’s Health Conference and the WellWoman Conference.

She is qualified and highly skilled in Implanon insertion and removal, Mirena and Kyleena IUD insertion and removal, and Copper IUD removals. She also provides services such as cervical screening and sexual health assessments.

As a registered Antenatal Shared Care provider with the Royal Hospital for Women, Randwick, Angela is accredited to provide GP shared pregnancy care. She particularly enjoys caring for her patients, their newborns, and families throughout the postpartum and neonatal periods and beyond. She is passionate about fertility, pre-conception health, and optimal antenatal care.

She has undergone training and accreditation to co-manage ADHD with psychiatric input and can assist with ongoing medication management and prescriptions. She has extensive experience and expertise in mental health care, providing both medical and non-medical management options.

Angela is also educated and skilled in medical weight loss and is able to provide an individualised, patient-centred, and holistic management plan for patients seeking assistance in this area.

Angela also provides a variety of procedures, including iron infusions, skin lesion excisions, cryotherapy for wart and lesion removal, intralesional steroid treatment for keloid scarring, Implanon insertion and removal, vaccinations (excluding Yellow Fever and TB vaccines), Mirena and Kyleena IUD insertion and removal, Copper IUD removal, and cervical screening tests.

Having worked in cosmetic medicine for a number of years, Angela is able to offer advice on a variety of skin and aesthetic concerns.

Angela prides herself on being an attentive and caring GP. She has a warm, friendly, and engaging style of practice and enjoys treating patients of all ages while building long-term relationships with them and their families.
