Born in Malaysia, Dr Andrew Lim came to Melbourne in 1999 and completed his medical degree (MBBS) in Monash University, Clayton in 2005.
He then worked in various public hospitals including Frankston, Warragul, Box Hill, Angliss and Maroondah Hospital as a House Medical Officer before venturing into General Practice.
Training as a GP in a rural setting, allowed him a taste of country life as he spent 3 years in Gippsland: Wonthaggi and Lakes Entrance, before attaining fellowship of RACGP in 2010. In addition to his rural experience, Dr Lim also worked as a locum GP in far remote NSW towns for a short period, as far as Lightning Ridge. He is a keen footballer and ardent Arsenal Football Club fan.
Dr Lim has an interest in iron deficiency, weight loss, musculoskeletal medicine, skin cancer checks, simple skin prcoedures, mental health and all other aspects of general practice. He also does ingrown toenail operations and corticosteriod injections.
Dr Lim now offers Intravenous Iron Infusions, mainly on a Tuesday afternoon. The procedure takes only 30 to 60 minutes generally.
