Dr Dilan Ranasinghe completed his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka in 2001. After gaining his medical degree, he has worked in field of Public Health, University teaching, and Anaesthesia & Critical care in Sri Lanka for over 10 years before he moved to Australia in 2011.
He commenced his Australian medical career at St John of God Hospital in Bendigo as Medical Officer in Critical care. He moved to General Practice in 2013 and since then he has been working at several General Practices both in regional and metro Victoria. Dr Ranasinghe also obtained a Diploma in Child Health from University of Sydney in 2013 and completed both AMC part 1 and AMC part 2 in order to gain his general registration in Australia. He was awarded his Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) in 2018.
Dr Dilan is an experienced General Practitioner and practices in all areas of General Medicine including Child Health, Women’s Health, Men’s Health, Chronic Disease Management, Skin check, minor surgical procedures, Implanon insertion & removal, and CST.
He also speaks Sinhala.
