Dr Fatima Riasat is an experienced female General Practitioner who graduated with Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Bahuddin Zakaria University, Pakistan in 1995. She has also completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Dr Fatima was awarded her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and also completed a Diploma of Child Health (DCH) from University of Sydney..
She moved to Australia and completed 2 years of rotations at Mount Isa Hospital, before moving into general practice. Dr Fatima has several years of experience in General Practice, including Indigenous health.
Dr Fatima has special interests in Antenatal Care, Child health and immunisation, Chronic disease and GP management plans, Mental Health, Women’s Health including menopause, infertility, antenatal and postnatal care, and other gynaecological issues. She carries out procedures like Iron Infusion, Implanon Insertiion/Removal and Mirena / Kyleena removal only.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her two grandchildren. She also teaches Basic Arabic Grammar, and is currently learning Advanced Arabic Grammar.
Dr Fatima also speaks Urdu and Hindi.
