Dr Maria Bodenstein is an experienced general practitioner, having obtained her basic medical degree (MBChB) from Stellenbosch University in South Africa in 1992. She then spent 8 years in England, working in many hospitals in and around London, and completing her general practitioner training at a group practice in Hackney, East London. She moved to Australia in 2002 and started back in general practice in Lakes Entrance, Victoria, which became her home for the next 18 years. While there, she was awarded the FRACGP in 2009. She joined the team at Mooroolbark Medical Centre in 2022.
Maria enjoys all aspects of general practice.
She is fluent in English, German and Afrikaans, and is actively working on improving her French skills through daily study.
