Dr Md Mehrul Huda completed a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery at Mymensingh Medical College, Bangladesh 1985. Prior to joining us, he operated a General Practice for many years in the Central Qld region. Well-known and well-loved by many in the region, Dr Huda is enlisted as the Nominated Medical Advisor for local coal mines and for Queensland Rail. He has also served the local Rockhampton people as a Senior Doctor in the Emergency Department at the Base Hospital.
He has over 35 years of medical experience and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Before moving to Central Queensland with his family, Dr Huda practised as an Emergency doctor and as a General Practitioner in many parts of the world, including Asia, South America and the West Indies. This provided him with superior insight and experience which is definitely reflected in the care he administers to his patients.
Dr Huda has risen from a very humble background to step into his current position through sheer hard work and dedication. Dr Huda has two daughters who are now both successfully pursuing their medical careers. He appears to have a magical touch with children; many of whom breeze through his clinic blissfully unaware of the prick of the injection that they received!
An interesting fact about Dr Huda is that he is a very talented singer of classical traditional songs!
Dr Huda also speaks Bengali and English.
