Dr Melissa Boglis completed her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle, WA in 2019. Following this, she worked in various hospitals throughout Victoria, gaining experience in general medicine, surgery, emergency medicine and paediatrics as well as Rural Aboriginal Health. Dr Melissa was awarded her Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) Fellowship in early 2025.
Prior to medicine, Dr Melissa worked in Public Health doing research with Monash University which laid the foundation for her interest in preventative medicine. She is passionate about treating the whole patient, addressing the root cause of illness, and building rapport with her patients.
Dr Melissa enjoys seeing patients of all ages and stages, with special interests in mental health, women’s health (including menstrual irregularities, contraception, sexual health screening & menopause), preventative medicine, and paediatrics. She also undertakes minor procedures – Implanon insertion/removal, Iron Infusions, Medical Termination of Pregnancy, Minor Skin Procedures, Ear Syringing.
Outside of work, Dr Melissa enjoys running and if not working, you will probably see her clocking up km on the running track training for her next marathon. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends and travelling.
