Dr Rekha Kumar has a wealth of experience in all areas of medicine. Rekha’s extensive experience is not only in general practice but also in Psychiatry and Skin & Cosmetic medicine. She has worked in the Australian Navy as well as in various hospitals in Melbourne. Whilst she has established and owned several medical clinics, she joined Modern Medical Dandenong in 2011 to bring back work-life balance.
Rekha is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She has supervised and trained many GP registrars. Her special interests are in cosmetic injectables, dermatology, skin cancer, minor procedures, women’s health, weight loss and paediatrics. Rekha performs Implanon and Mirena contraceptive insertion and removal. She enjoys keeping up to date and attending educational seminars.
Dr Rekha loves her job and provides general practice care using a modern medicine approach to families and to help patients to stay well. She is vegan and believes in nutritional medicine. She speaks fluent Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.
