Dr Suranji Perera is a highly accomplished General Practitioner with a diverse background and a strong commitment to patient care. She earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, in 2010. Following graduation, she dedicated several years to serving as a medical officer in the anaesthesia and intensive care unit of a prominent hospital in Sri Lanka.
In 2017, Dr Perera embarked on a new chapter in her medical career when she relocated to Australia. Since then, she has thrived as a General Practitioner, providing comprehensive healthcare services to her patients. Her dedication and expertise were recognised when she achieved fellowship status with The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2021. In addition, she holds a Post graduate Diploma in child health.
Dr Perera has a special interest in women’s health, men’s health, child and adolescent health, chronic disease management, general medicine, surgical procedures, and emergency medicine.
In addition to her medical skills, Dr Perera is fluent in both Sinhalese and English.
