Dr Rosemary Thompson

Dr Rosemary Thompson graduated from Sydney University in Oct 1978 with first class honours. She completed her Fellowship of the College of General Practitioners in 1995. Dr Thompson has worked in general practice in Liverpool, Bundeena and then Bathurst from 1986 at Loxley House Medical Centre for 26 years, travelling to Oberon to work part-time for 2 years, working in A&E at Bathurst Base Hospital, assisting in surgery and working in occupational health at Masterfoods.

From Bathurst she moved to Noosa when her husband Michael retired from general practice. Dr Thompson worked at Noosa General Practice in Noosaville from 2012 to 2022 where she became more interested in skin cancer detection and minor surgery for skin lesions. In 2022 she relocated to the Sutherland Shire.

Dr Thompson continues to provide medical care for her patients from a Christian perspective and has special interests in skin, geriatrics, minor surgery, adolescent health, children’s, women’s and men’s health.
