Dr Zaw completed his Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the prestigious University of Medicine in Yangon, Myanmar, in 2008. His commitment to professional development led him to attain a Fellowship at the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2020. 2017 he also obtained a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from the University of Sydney.
After practising as a General Practitioner in Yangon, Myanmar, Dr Zaw migrated to Northern Territory, Australia, in 2014 and joined Alice Springs Hospital. In 2018, he relocated to Victoria, where he has continued his career in General Practice. His diverse experiences have shaped his ability to provide comprehensive and culturally sensitive care to patients from various backgrounds.
Specialised Interests: Dr Zaw has a special interest in Men’s Health, Children’s Health, Mental Health, and minor surgeries. His dedication to these areas ensures that patients receive specialised care tailored to their unique needs.
In addition to English, Dr Zaw is fluent in Burmese and Mandarin Chinese. His language proficiency enables effective communication and fosters a strong doctor-patient relationship, particularly for individuals from Burmese and Chinese-speaking backgrounds.
