Session 1: Imaging Insights for Dyspnoea
Speaker: Dr Tej Dugal – Radiologist

Dr Dugal is a dual fellowship trained radiologist at Royal North Shore Hospital and the Hospital for Special Surgery, New York – with an interest in musculoskeletal and neuroradiology. Dr Dugal also has subspecialty expertise in cardiac imaging, with emphasis on multi-detector CT.
Session 2: New Treatment Approaches to Psoriasis & Eczema
Speaker 1: Dr Supriya Venugopal – Adult and Paediatric Specialist Dermatologist

Dr Venugopal is a specialist adult and paediatric dermatologist. She is fully trained in all aspects of medical and surgical dermatology and has further subspecialised in paediatric dermatology.
Having completed her medical degree from UNSW, Dr Venugopal completed a Masters of Medicine from the University of Sydney, Fellowship from the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD), and a PhD focusing on blistering skin conditions from UNSW. Dr Venugopal has trained and worked at St George Hospital, John Hunter Hospital, The Skin Hospital, Westmead Public Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital.
In addition, Dr Venugopal has completed a paediatric dermatology fellowship from the Children’s Hospital Westmead and Sydney Children’s Hospital networks. During this fellowship, she also completed rotations at Guy and St Thomas Hospital in London and Children’s Hospital Colorado in Denver. Supriya is a member of the Society of Paediatric Dermatology and a consultant at the Children’s Hospital Westmead.
Dr Venugopal is interested in teaching and furthering her own knowledge in the upcoming advances in medical and paediatric dermatology. Dr Venugopal has published in several peer-reviewed journals, both locally and internationally, and has presented at various domestic and international conferences.
Dr Venugopal is actively involved in training dermatology registrars. She is a director on the board and a consulting specialist dermatologist at The Skin Hospital.
Dr Venugopal is passionate about her work and prides herself in providing the best possible care to her patients. She is especially passionate about caring for children and ensuring that children and parents are cared for in a loving and warm environment. Supriya is happily married and is blessed to be a mother to her beautiful son and daughters.

Speaker 2: Dr Brian Wallace – Specialist Dermatologist

Dr Wallace is a specialist dermatologist and is fully trained in all aspects of medical and surgical dermatology. He has a keen interest in the management of skin cancers both surgically and non surgically.
Dr Wallace completed his medical education at the University of Sydney and was a student at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Dr Wallace completed his Fellowship from the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD). Prior to his medical studies, he completed a BSc(Hons) and a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Sydney. Dr Wallace’s dermatology training was completed at Concord Hospital, St Vincents Hospital, John Hunter Hospital and Westmead Hospital. In addition, Dr Wallace has completed numerous placements in rural NSW.
Dr Wallace has a keen interest in research and has published in various peer-reviewed journals, both locally and internationally, and has presented at various domestic conferences.
He is a senior lecturer (clinical) at The University of Western Sydney and teaches suturing workshops for final year medical students. Dr Wallace also teaches dermatology to medical students at The Skin Hospital, Westmead where he also works as a specialist dermatologist.
Dr Wallace is dedicated to the best possible care of his patients and seeks to ensure patients benefit from the most up-to-date, evidence-based treatments available. Whilst doing his utmost to run on time, on occasion Brian can run a little late… He is the Dad to three awesome kids.

Session 3: Eye Red Flags: Linking Vision Loss to Systemic Disease – With a Focus on Glaucoma
Speaker: A/Prof Andrew White – Glaucoma Specialist & Cataract Surgeon

Clinical Associate Professor Andrew White is a highly experienced ophthalmologist specialising in glaucoma and cataract surgery, based at Westmead Hospital and in private practice.
He completed his medical and PhD training at the University of Sydney and undertook advanced glaucoma subspecialty training in both Australia and the UK, including at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. He has held senior academic and clinical roles internationally and remains actively involved in both patient care and research.
Andrew is widely recognised for his expertise in glaucoma management, including complex and progressive disease. He is closely involved in shaping glaucoma care nationally, contributing to clinical guidelines and models of care, and is actively engaged in teaching ophthalmology trainees, optometrists, and medical professionals.
He is Head of Ophthalmology at Westmead Hospital and plays a key role in developing integrated eye care services across community and hospital settings.
A/Prof White is committed to timely communication, clear management plans, and collaborative care to support GPs in delivering optimal long-term outcomes for their patients.
Session 4: State of Play in ASCVD Care: Australian Insights & Actionable Strategies
Speaker: Dr Katy Ellenberger – Imaging Cardiologist

Dr Katy Ellenberger is an imaging cardiologist who specialises in preventative cardiology and advanced cardiac imaging, including CTCA, cardiac MRI and advanced echocardiography. Her passions are preventative cardiology and women’s cardiovascular health.
Dr Katy Ellenberger graduated with an MBBS from Western Sydney University in 2012. She completed her specialty training in Cardiology In 2019, and underwent further subspecialty fellowship training in advanced echocardiography (Prince of Wales Hospital), and cardiac CT and cardiac MRI (St Vincents Hospital Sydney). Dr Ellenberger has the highest level of CTCA accreditation and enjoys teaching cardiac CT to other cardiologists and radiologists, as a faculty member for the Australian Institute of Cardiac CT.
Dr Ellenberger is employed as a Staff Specialist at Prince of Wales and Visiting Medical Officer at Sydney Hospital, Prince of Wales Private Hospital, the Mater Hospital and Eastern Heart Clinic. She consults at Mosman Cardiology and Bondi Cardiology.
Session 5A: The Origin of Chaos – from Melanocyte to Melanoma
Speaker: Dr Peter McQuillan – Anatomical Pathologist

Dr Peter McQuillan is an Anatomical Pathologist with expertise in dermatopathology. A graduate of the University of Otago, he completed his pathology training in Melbourne and Adelaide. After obtaining his Anatomical Pathology Fellowship, Dr McQuillan undertook further specialist training in skin pathology at Melbourne Pathology. He is the inaugural recipient of the RCPA Diploma in Dermatopathology and has also received International Board Certification in Dermatopathology under the auspices of the ICDP/UEMS. Dr McQuillan now practises exclusively in the field of dermatopathology, having transferred to Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology in early 2021. His areas of special interest include inflammatory dermatoses, alopecia, melanocytic pathology, digital pathology and teaching.
Session 5B: A Cook’s Tour of Allergy
Speaker: Dr Jocelyn Jiang – Allergy Specialist & Immunologist

Dr Jocelyn Jiang graduated with Honours from Monash University and trained in immunopathology and clinical immunology at the Canberra and Westmead Hospitals. She is in clinical practice as a Consultant Physician in Clinical Immunology and Allergy in rooms at St Leonards. Dr Jiang is interested in all aspects of clinical immunology and allergy and is currently involved in research examining novel markers of neuroinflammation in autoimmune encephalitis. She joined Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology in March 2019.
Session 6: Menopause Management Essentials
Speaker: Dr Sameer Mathur – Specialist Gynaecologist

Dr Sameer Mathur is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with specialty expertise in fertility, reproductive endocrinology, and menopause care. Dr Mathur is the Clinical Lead for the Menopause Hub based at Royal North Shore Hospital, a public multi-disciplinary service that focusses on individualised and holistic treatment for complex menopausal women. He is actively involved in medical education, regularly delivering teaching to students, trainees, general practitioners and other Gynaecologists. Known for his engaging and practical style, Dr Mathur is passionate about translating evolving evidence into clear, clinically relevant insights for everyday practice.
Session 7: Alzheimer’s Disease Treatment and the Importance of Characterising Dementia Subtypes
Speaker: Dr Rowena Mobbs – Principal Neurologist

Dr Rowena Mobbs is a cognitive neurologist and Director of Harbour Neurology in North Sydney, and a VMO at Mater Hospital Sydney. She has subspecialty interests in traumatic brain injury, migraine and Alzheimer’s disease, with research into chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) at the Queensland Brain Institute. As a national advocate for brain health, she has collaborated with Dementia Australia on several national dementia prevention initiatives, including the recent Think Again campaign and a national support program for those living with CTE.
Workshop A: Travel Medicine: Inside the Consult – Risk Assessment and Prevention Planning
Speaker: Catherine Keil

Catherine Keil is an Australian/British Nurse Practitioner specialising in travel health and immunisations. She completed a BSc Honours degree in Geography in 1995 from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, UK, with an interest in Medical Geography. She went on to complete a Nursing Diploma in 1998 from Kingston University/St George’s Medical School, London, UK, which involved an exchange program to Uganda.
After travelling and working in Africa, South East Asia and Central America, she became a practice nurse based in London. She specialised in travel health, which led her to work for Emirates Airline in Dubai for ten years, where she was instrumental in setting up a travel health clinic for the crew and families. In 2006, she completed the Diploma in Travel Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow, UK, and in 2014 completed the ISTM Certificate in Travel Health. After moving to Australia, she completed a Masters in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) from Flinders University, Adelaide, in 2017 and now works as an Endorsed Nurse Practitioner in Travel Health and Immunisations.
In 2018, she became an elected member of the International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM) Nursing Professional Group Steering Council
In 2019, she became a Fellow of the Faculty of Travel Medicine (FFTM), Australasian College of Tropical Medicine.
Workshop B: ECG interpretation in common cardiac presentations
Speaker 1: A/Prof Peter E Ruchin – Consultant Physician, Cardiologist & Interventional Cardiologist

A/Prof Ruchin is a St Vincent’s trained interventional cardiologist and consultant physician. He has achieved international accreditation in interventional cardiology following training at St Vincent’s Hospital (Sydney), Centro Cardiologico Monzino (Milan, Italy), University of Ottawa Heart Institute (Ottawa, Canada) and Vancouver General Hospital (Vancouver, Canada). He has performed thousands of interventional coronary procedures and continues to develop his expertise in this field.
A/Prof Ruchin has been involved in large-scale, centre-specific and international research in interventional cardiology and peripheral intervention.
A/Prof Ruchin is a principal in Riverina Cardiology and Cardiology at the Mater in Sydney, and provides specialist cardiac and general medical services to a diverse patient base in both practices.

Speaker 2: Dr Sacha Kepreotis – Consultant Interventional Cardiologist

Dr Sacha Kepreotis is an Australian board-certified Interventional and General Cardiologist, trained in PCI and stent implantation at St George Hospital, Sydney. He was then selected for a competitive high-volume fellowship at Leeds General Infirmary, UK, specialising in complex coronary intervention.
With a Master’s Degree in Public Health and a Research Fellowship from Mt Sinai Hospital, New York, he has numerous publications, including pioneering gene therapy treatments for heart failure.
Dr Kepreotis is a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of New South Wales and has received the Royal Australasian College of Physicians Trainee Research Prize. He offers compassionate, patient-centred care, accepting all general cardiology referrals, and provides consultations in both English and Greek.
Workshop C: Topic 1- Knee Examination
Speaker: Dr Jonathan Herald – Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr Jonathan Herald is an experienced orthopaedic surgeon with over 20 years of surgical expertise, specialising in shoulder, knee, and elbow conditions, including work injuries and motor vehicle accident cases.
He has treated some of Australia’s top athletes across swimming, rugby, NRL, soccer, and cricket, and brings advanced sports medicine techniques like cryotherapy and Synvisc to his everyday patients.
Dr Herald holds degrees in Medicine, Surgery, and a Master’s in Sports Medicine. He also contributes to global medical knowledge as a reviewing surgeon for the British Medical Journal.
Known for his patient-first approach, Dr Herald ensures urgent cases are seen within 7 days. He welcomes GP calls directly and performs “No Gap” surgeries for aged pensioners.

Speaker: Dr Mithun Joshi – Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr Joshi is happy to see Age Pensioners, Medicare, Private, Workcover and Third-Party patients through his rooms in Campbelltown or Gladesville.
He currently has a short waiting list which allows him to operate on patients requiring surgery within one to two weeks of seeing them.
