Dr Louise Rigney is an Australian-trained neurologist with a passion for helping others. She obtained her medical degree through the University of Newcastle before completing Neurology specialist training with positions at St Vincent’s Hospital (Sydney) and Liverpool Hospital. Dr Rigney completed a fellowship in Neuromuscular medicine along with neuroimmunology training at Concord Hospital.

These qualifications led her to work at Campbelltown Hospital, where she headed the Neurophysiology Department, as well as private practice at Neurology New South Wales in Roseville and North Sydney.

She is appointed Senior Lecturer at Western Sydney University.

Dr Rigney looks forward to the opportunity to help patients with the care of their neurological needs.

Dr Rigney sees patients with a wide variety of neurological diseases and complaints including headaches, stroke, epilepsy, pregnancy-related neurological conditions, multiple sclerosis, neuropathy, motor neuron disease, Parkinsons disease, tremors, dizziness, dementia and memory problems, head injury and concussion. Through a holistic approach to medicine, she tries to view each patient as a whole rather than a single symptom to be treated.

Dr Rigney will see patients 16 years and over. Injection therapy is available for migraine, hyperhidrosis, and spasticity.

Appointments require 48 hours’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling:

  • Less than 48 hours’ notice: $250 cancellation fee
  • Same-day cancellation or non-attendance: full consultation fee charged
