We are thrilled to announce that Dr Biswajit Roy will join our team at Bentleigh Medical Centre on 1 July 2024! With an impressive background and a passion for comprehensive patient care, Dr Roy is a valuable addition to our medical community.
Dr Roy completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Rajshahi University, Bangladesh, in 2001. His career journey has taken him through various hospitals and general practice settings overseas, enriching his medical expertise. In 2015, Dr Roy moved to Australia and began his practice in general medicine. His dedication and commitment were recognised when he earned his Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2018.
Dr Roy’s approach to healthcare goes beyond treating illnesses; he is devoted to enhancing patients’ overall health and quality of life. He has a broad interest in all aspects of General Practice, with particular expertise in:
- Skin conditions
- Child health
- Diabetes management
- Chronic disease management
Additionally, Dr Roy is skilled in performing minor surgical procedures, including skin cancer treatment, removal of skin lesions, and Implanon insertion and removal.
Outside of his professional life, Dr Roy is a family-oriented individual who enjoys watching soccer and travelling. His multilingual ability allows him to connect with a diverse patient population, as he speaks both English and Bengali.
