We are excited to announce that Dr Maged Ghattas has joined our team at Glenferrie Road Medical Centre. Dr Ghattas is a highly qualified and experienced general practitioner passionate about providing comprehensive healthcare to his patients.

With an impressive career spanning several decades, Dr Ghattas completed his medical degree with honours in 1994 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2009. His dedication to continuous learning led him to earn a Diploma in Child Health in 2007, further expanding his expertise in paediatric care.

Dr Ghattas brings extensive experience in rehabilitation medicine and is committed to improving the quality of life for his patients. As a medical educator with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and the Australian Medical Council, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals.

His special interests include weight management, where he completed the Horizon Programme in 2022, as well as men’s health, PrEP prescription, asthma management, diabetes management, pain management post-joint replacement, and iron infusion therapy. Dr Ghattas’ holistic approach ensures patients receive personalised treatment tailored to their unique needs.
