Dr Rajesh Tomar has been a doctor for over 30 years, having trained in Australia, the United Kingdom, and India. Dr Tomar has extensive experience in general practice medicine, including acute, chronic, emergency medicine, paediatrics, orthopaedics, occupational medicine, skin cancer, sexual health, and travel medicine.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc.). He then obtained fellowships at all three Royal Colleges in Australia, Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), Fellowship of Advanced Rural General Practice (FARGP) and Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM). He continued with his professional development and completed a Joint Consultative Committee on Anaesthesia (JCCA), a Master of Orthopaedic Surgery (MS Ortho), a Diploma in Child Health, a Certificate in Occupational Medicine and a Diploma of Skin Cancer Medicine.

He has worked in major metropolitan and regional hospitals and general practice clinics in Australia. Dr Tomar is accredited for Category 1, 2, and 3 Rail Medicals, qualified for Implanon insertion and removal, and carries out Iron transfusions.

Dr Tomar believes in empowering his patients to understand their medical and psychological conditions to help them feel confident about managing and feeling in control of their lives. Dr Tomar believes in preventive medicine and holistic care for his patients and their families.

Dr Tomar has special interests in Travel Medicine, Chronic disease management, Dermatology and skin cancer, General medicine, Emergency medicine, Men’s health, Preventative medicine, Occupational medicine, Implanon insertion and removal, Family medicine and Iron transfusion.

Dr Tomar speaks English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.
